Ticket Policy
These Ticket Policies and Attendee Terms apply to tickets, passes, credentials, and admission to events organized by TrinVerse Productions Inc. (“TrinVerse”, “we”, “us”, or “Organizer”).
By purchasing, accepting, registering, or using a ticket or event credential, you agree to these terms, the Event Code of Conduct, applicable Venue rules, and any event-specific policies published by TrinVerse.
Where required by applicable law, these terms are subject to the purchaser’s statutory rights. Nothing in this policy is intended to waive or limit a right that cannot legally be excluded.
1. Ticket Purchase and Admission
Tickets and passes provide admission only to the specific Event, date, time, experience, or access level identified at the time of purchase.
Before purchasing a ticket, purchasers will be provided with applicable information required by British Columbia law, including the total ticket price, applicable fees and taxes, transfer restrictions, and material terms and conditions. Prices will be displayed in Canadian dollars unless another currency is clearly identified.
Tickets are valid only when obtained through an authorized TrinVerse ticketing channel or authorized seller.
TrinVerse may refuse admission where a ticket:
- is counterfeit or fraudulently obtained;
- has been cancelled or invalidated;
- has been materially altered or tampered with;
- is being used in violation of applicable ticket restrictions; or
- cannot be reasonably verified as valid.
TrinVerse is not responsible for tickets purchased from unauthorized sellers.
2. Registration and Required Information
Attendees may be required to complete an Event registration form, waiver, or other admission requirements before receiving or activating their Event credentials.
Where personal information is collected, TrinVerse will collect, use, and protect that information in accordance with applicable British Columbia privacy law and TrinVerse’s Privacy Policy.
TrinVerse will only collect personal information for purposes that are appropriate and disclosed to the individual, as required by the Personal Information Protection Act (British Columbia).
Attendees may be required to provide sufficient information to verify their ticket, registration, age category, or eligibility for a particular pass.
3. Identification and Age Verification
TrinVerse may require government-issued photo identification showing date of birth when necessary to verify an adult ticket, age-restricted admission, or eligibility for an age-specific pass.
Acceptable identification may include:
- driver’s licence;
- BC Services Card or other government-issued identification;
- passport;
- Canadian citizenship certificate/card; or
- another government-issued photo identification reasonably acceptable to TrinVerse.
TrinVerse may accept other reliable proof of age at its discretion.
The legal age of majority in British Columbia is 19 years.
Age verification may be required for age-restricted Events, programming, merchandise, or experiences.
4. Children and Youth
Unless an Event-specific policy states otherwise:
- Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult chaperone who is at least 18 years old.
- Parents or legal guardians remain responsible for children and youth in their care.
- TrinVerse does not assume responsibility for supervising minors.
- Certain activities, panels, performances, or experiences may have additional age restrictions.
Where a ticket category is based on age, TrinVerse may request reasonable proof of age.
Age requirements for individual Events or ticket types will be clearly identified at the time of sale where applicable.
5. Refunds and Cancellations
Unless an Event-specific refund policy provides a more generous right, paid admission tickets may be refunded according to the refund deadline published for that Event.
Refund requests must be submitted through the designated TrinVerse ticketing or customer-service channel before the applicable deadline.
Unless otherwise stated:
- the refundable amount will be based on the eligible ticket price paid;
- applicable taxes associated with the refundable amount will be refunded;
- non-refundable service or processing fees may be excluded where legally permitted and clearly disclosed before purchase;
- refunds will normally be issued to the original payment method.
Refund processing times may vary depending on the payment provider.
Nothing in this policy limits any refund or other remedy required by British Columbia law.
6. Cancelled or Rescheduled Events
If TrinVerse cancels an Event, TrinVerse will communicate the applicable refund, credit, or replacement-ticket options to ticket holders.
If an Event is rescheduled to a different date, TrinVerse will provide affected ticket holders with the applicable options required by law and the circumstances of the Event, which may include a refund or admission to the rescheduled Event.
Where a refund is legally required, TrinVerse will not make the refund conditional on accepting a replacement ticket or credit.
Ticket holders should retain their original purchase confirmation and ticket information until the Event has concluded.
7. Specially Ticketed Experiences
Specially ticketed experiences may have separate terms disclosed at the time of purchase.
These may include:
- VIP experiences;
- workshops;
- limited-capacity activities;
- autograph sessions;
- professional photo opportunities;
- meet-and-greets;
- contests;
- tournaments; and
- other separately ticketed programming.
Where a special experience has separate cancellation or refund terms, those terms will be disclosed before purchase.
8. Guests, Panels, and Programming
Guest appearances, panels, workshops, performances, exhibitors, and other Event programming are subject to change.
Guest availability may be affected by professional commitments, travel disruptions, illness, emergencies, or other circumstances outside TrinVerse’s control.
A guest’s advertised appearance does not constitute a guarantee that the guest will attend every day or participate in every activity.
Where reasonably practicable, TrinVerse will communicate significant programming changes through its official Event channels.
Unless otherwise required by law or expressly stated in the Event’s refund policy, a guest cancellation or programming change does not automatically entitle a ticket holder to a refund.
9. Autographs and Photo Opportunities
Guests and performers may charge separate fees for autographs, photographs, merchandise, or other personal experiences.
Such fees are separate from Event admission unless expressly included with the ticket purchased.
Pricing, availability, scheduling, and participation requirements may vary by guest.
All guest transactions are subject to the applicable guest or service provider’s policies.
10. Limited-Capacity Activities
Panels, workshops, contests, tournaments, autograph sessions, photo opportunities, and other activities may have limited capacity.
Unless otherwise stated, participation may be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Possession of an Event admission ticket does not guarantee entry to a particular limited-capacity activity.
Additional reservations, tickets, or eligibility requirements may apply.
11. Ticket Transfers and Resale
Any restrictions on transferring or reselling tickets will be disclosed before purchase as required by applicable law.
TrinVerse may restrict the transfer of particular ticket types where permitted by law, including promotional, complimentary, personalized, or specially ticketed passes.
Tickets must not be resold using false or misleading information.
Purchasers should use TrinVerse’s official ticketing channels or authorized resale mechanisms where available.
British Columbia’s ticket-sales legislation regulates primary and secondary ticket sellers and provides specific protections concerning ticket disclosures, counterfeit tickets, event cancellation, and certain resale circumstances.
Nothing in this policy limits rights provided under that legislation.
12. Counterfeit and Fraudulent Tickets
Do not purchase tickets from unauthorized sellers unless you understand the associated risks.
TrinVerse cannot guarantee admission for tickets obtained through unauthorized channels.
If a ticket is counterfeit, duplicated, fraudulently obtained, or otherwise invalid, admission may be refused.
Purchasers should retain:
- their purchase confirmation;
- transaction information;
- ticket;
- payment records; and
- communications with the seller.
These records may be required when resolving a ticket dispute.
13. Lost, Damaged, or Stolen Credentials
Attendees are responsible for protecting their tickets, wristbands, badges, and other Event credentials.
Where technically possible, TrinVerse may replace a lost or damaged credential after verifying the original purchase.
A replacement fee may apply where disclosed in advance.
TrinVerse is not required to replace a credential that has been intentionally altered, duplicated, transferred contrary to Event rules, or presented by a person who cannot reasonably establish entitlement to the ticket.
14. Promotions and Discounts
TrinVerse may occasionally offer promotional pricing, discount codes, contests, bundles, or other special offers.
Unless otherwise stated:
- promotions cannot be combined;
- promotions cannot be applied retroactively to previous purchases;
- promotional tickets may have additional restrictions;
- promotional offers are subject to availability and stated expiry dates.
Any material conditions applicable to a promotion will be disclosed when the promotion is offered.
15. Photography, Recording, and Event Media
Photography, video recording, livestreaming, and other media activities may occur throughout public areas of the Event.
By voluntarily attending a public Event, attendees acknowledge that they may incidentally appear in photographs or recordings of the Event.
TrinVerse may use such incidental recordings for reasonable Event-related purposes, including:
- Event documentation;
- news and announcements;
- promotional materials;
- social media;
- future Event marketing; and
- archival purposes.
TrinVerse will not require an attendee to provide consent to unrelated uses of their personal information merely as a condition of purchasing a ticket where such consent is not necessary for the Event.
Where TrinVerse seeks consent for a specific use of personal information, the purpose of that collection or use will be communicated in accordance with applicable privacy law.
16. Accessibility and Accommodation
TrinVerse is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible Event environment.
Attendees who require disability-related accommodation should contact TrinVerse as early as reasonably possible so that appropriate arrangements can be considered.
Accommodation requests may be subject to reasonable operational limitations imposed by the Venue or applicable safety requirements.
Nothing in this policy is intended to limit rights or obligations under applicable human rights or accessibility legislation.
17. Code of Conduct
All attendees must comply with the TrinVerse Event Code of Conduct and reasonable directions from Event staff, security, emergency personnel, or Venue representatives.
Prohibited conduct includes:
- harassment;
- discrimination;
- threats or intimidation;
- violence;
- stalking;
- unwanted sexual conduct;
- hate-based conduct;
- theft or fraud;
- deliberate property damage; and
- conduct that creates a serious safety or security concern.
TrinVerse may remove an attendee from the Event where reasonably necessary to maintain safety, security, or an inclusive environment.
Except where required by law, removal for serious or repeated Code of Conduct violations may result in cancellation of Event credentials without refund.
18. Credential Use
Tickets and credentials are intended only for the person or persons authorized to use them under the applicable ticket terms.
Attendees must not:
- duplicate credentials;
- alter badges or wristbands;
- bypass security controls;
- use another person’s personalized credential without authorization; or
- knowingly provide false information during registration.
RFID, QR-code, or other electronic credentials may be used for admission and Event operations.
19. Event Changes
TrinVerse may make reasonable changes to:
- Event schedules;
- programming;
- guest appearances;
- exhibitors;
- floor layouts;
- Venue areas;
- operating hours; and
- activities.
Where a change materially affects a ticket holder’s rights, TrinVerse will provide notice and any refund or other remedy required by applicable law.
20. Policy Updates
TrinVerse may update these policies from time to time to reflect changes to Event operations, Venue requirements, security procedures, or applicable law.
The version applicable to a ticket purchase will be made available to the purchaser at or before purchase, and any later operational updates will be communicated where appropriate.
No policy update will remove a statutory right that has already accrued.
21. Contact and Refund Requests
Refund or ticket-support requests should be submitted through the official TrinVerse ticketing or customer-service contact listed on the Event website.
Include, where applicable:
- full name;
- purchaser email address;
- Event name;
- order or transaction number;
- ticket type;
- date of purchase; and
- a description of the issue.
Purchasers should retain copies of their purchase confirmation and correspondence.
22. Governing Law
These Ticket Policies shall be governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
Nothing in these terms limits any mandatory rights or remedies available to a ticket purchaser under applicable Canadian or British Columbia law.
Important Notice
This Ticket Policy is intended as a general Event policy and should be read together with the applicable Event Code of Conduct, Privacy Policy, refund terms, Venue rules, and ticket-specific conditions.
Where applicable law provides a purchaser with rights or remedies that differ from these policies, the applicable law will prevail.
TrinVerse Productions Inc. recommends that purchasers buy tickets only through official TrinVerse ticketing channels or authorized sellers.
